Agree - Nobody reads newspapers anymore. Carrie would have to stay relevant with a blog or podcast or like a youtube channel, but even those are a dime-a-dozen and hard to carve out if you do find a niche. THe rest of the storylines and characters are sorta played out already. There's a reason why hit shows come to an end.

Lily was played by twins in 2008 and 2010 movies. I can’t find their actual age online!

Rose was played by 2 different sets of twins. They’re 13 years old now!

They are definitely killing off Samantha. The cancer final got her.

Agree it will be about loss - of friends, looks, relationships, kids growing into angsty teens, etc.

Someone will definitely get divorced. I bet Steve becomes a lunatic Fox News-watching Trumper and Miranda leaves him.

Part of it was that it was provocative, a bit of shock value, and a tinge of relatability/idendity to the characters. But, for me, I've matured and moved-on from that chapter of my life. I've watched some of the re-runs over the years and the story lines and plots seem so immature and lame (for lack of a better word). Yes, there is still comic relief/comedy of errors that are timeless. Yes, there are relationship issues that people cope with no matter what decade you live in. Yes, you watched the characters arc. BUt overall, watching it now seems...flat.

I guess that show Girls tried to make a modern spin of SATC for the next generation. To me, that came off too foolish from the beginning.

Are they recasting Samantha? I remember reading that Kim Cattrall wanted her part to be recast as a POC.
