“Rigor” is my new friendship litmus. Like, if you respond to these things with shots at the “rigor” of anything, then I don’t want to be your friend. It’s obnoxious. Rigor mortis is what it makes me imagine. Jerky little jerk movements and peeing after death. Be nicer, PP. Our kids are just trying to stay alive.

I think it’s out kids surviving a miserable time in history, and I’m okay with it! I bring them snacks. They’re still respecting the teacher by listening and getting the work done, and the teacher can’t see the kids multitasking. No big deal.
Sure is better than panic attacks and self-harm.

One (9th grade) was playing video games and missed a virtual meeting with a teacher, so lost access to all other electronics during the day.

Another (5th grade) was watching YouTube while in class and continued to do so after multiple warnings so now is blocked from YouTube.
