Someone acknowledging known risk factors for COVID is not them saying obese people are dispensable.

Because lots of people i care about have risk factors for COVID 19 and if someone’s response to my mother dying is, “she was over 75”, I promise you, I will never be able to look at them with out disgust. How are you not triggered by a dismissive attitude to a tragic death because they had a risk factor?
So this situation doesn’t even apply.

Well this teacher died even by being remote, so virtual instruction is not a panacea. Still I would think obesity might be a reason not to be required to return since its now a known correlation with COVID illnesses.
Right. She caught it during their fall break, and ultimately was the only staff member case at the school.
Posts like these are entirely irrelevant to reopening, and only serve to try to distract people from looking at the science and data of COVID transmissions.

This shows the video was specifically posted here to support teachers here staying safe. It was not meant as a reflection on this person's life. It was an alarm for this current area. Therefore, there's no reason to think people are being harmful simply for pointing out that the alarm may not be as strong for all teachers. If you are going to start drama, expect drama in return.

I wish there was more information out about risk factors and that it came out earlier than it did. Knowing risk factors helps to save lives.
I wonder why OP posted this thread here on a schoolboard thread that has been rampant with ongoing debate about re-opening schools. She was a teacher, yes. The school was virtual when she got sick so not a halt re-opening message. Personally, I think OP was insensitive to post this story here. Let the dear women RIP.
