Subject: BMW X7 or Audi Q7 - anyone have good things to say about either?
I also recommend taking a look at a GLE, which is Mercedes' mid-size offering. The only downside is that the GLE is 4 years old and there will be a replacement in a couple of years, likely with the newer interior design that has a central large screen like the current C-class. There will also likely be additional plug-in-electric options for the US market.

I will say I liked the BMW service significantly better. We live in MD and Rockville Audi Service is atrocious.
The Audi is a dressed up VW. Reliability is horrible. BMW is worse. The engine is full of plastic parts that break all the time.
Many manufacturers use plastic in cars but do it sparingly. BMW uses a lot of plastic parts. The intake manifold of their engines is made of plastic.
Mercedes is the most reliable of the 3. Most taxis in Germany are Mercedes and you'll find many with over 300k miles. It says a lot because you can't run a taxi business with unreliable cars.
