I vote for triscuits too, but I think they're pretty dry. If that's a concern then maybe not triscuits.
I'm also partial to wheat thins, and little rounds of baguette.
Summer sausage on triscuits is my favorite. Add a banana pepper or spreadable cheese if you want more moisture.
This summer sausage snack is very, very old money.
Interesting because I grew up eating it, and was quite poor! My dad is from Northern Minnesota and ate lots of shelf stable meat.![]()
I second your LOL. I grew up solidly middle class, possibly the opposite of old money, and we always had summer sausage at the holidays and I LOVE it.
For cracker types, I like Triscuits, stoned wheat thins, and those Kashi multigrain ones.
OT: Does anyone remember Chicken in a Biscuit crackers?
I thought the old money comment was sarcastic, but I don’t care because summer sausage is delicious.
It wasn’t supposed to be sarcastic. Some people have no need to “put on the dog” and that is a delicious snack.

My dad and I had a discussion once. He said that Club crackers were the best. Growing up, his parents always had regular old Ritz, but when he went to his grandparents, they had Club crackers which were special, so he decided when he grew up and could buy his own crackers, he'd always get the good stuff, Club crackers. As a result, I grew up with Club crackers being the regular, everyday crackers, but when I went to my grandarents (his parents), they had Ritz crackers which were obviously special, so when I grew up, I decided to leave those plain old Club crackers behind, and get the good ones - Ritz.

Well looks like Christmas dinner is on hold, so no need for cheese and crackers.
We’ve been exposed to Covid and need to quarantine for 7-10 days.
(Shakes fist at the sky and screams) Damn you 2020!!!

Thanks everyone for reminding me of all the good crackers out there. I totally forgot about triscuits! And I love triscuits!! They are dry, so I think I’m going to drop Swiss and add goat cheese.
