Me too. Over Thanksgiving, we drove to our vacation home with just our family, but we still quarantined because DH went to the grocery store once. I'm sure our situation isn't what the policy is for, but I need to follow it if others are.

Do you quarantine when you go to the grocery store here too?

DP. Yes, we quarantine after grocery store visits. We only go about once every 3 weeks.

Really? Why not just do curbside pickup?

DP but we don’t go anywhere besides the grocery store and daycare anyway so it’s easy to quarantine other than daycare drop off. Never take DC to the store so they don’t need to isolate just us.

If your kid is going to daycare, you are not quarantining.

+1 I don't even know what PP means when they say "quarantining". That is just normal living in the times of corona.

I know people who were “quarantining except daycare.” They got Covid. From daycare. And gave it to family.

Because they weren’t quarantine at all! What is wrong with people?!

Hey, better than your provider traveling out of the country and not getting a test when they returned! Classic, right? Needless to say we left.

Did you miss the "or get a negative test" part? That's fairly standard for return to school language and what we had to do post-Thanksgiving (and pre-Thanksgiving for our own sanity.) Get a test. Or quarantine. Duh.

+1

I hate people a lot right now.

Yes. And I think it's totally reasonable. They are being responsible.

Interesting question. I am all for being careful but it seems like no one is applying common sense.
