I am a man who frequents the redpill subreddit. I found it after a particularly harsh breakup and it opened my eyes into what I was doing wrong with women. Not having a strong father figure, I learned how to deal with women from romantic comedies, Disney movies, and love songs. And that's how I did things, which is not how the world works.

Since stumbling upon this, I am more successful with women and just overall happier. Ignore the extreme edges of the ideology and focus on its core tenants. Which I won't get into here.

OP here. Thank you for chiming in. One of the issues for me is that the ideology paints all women as the same and wanting the same thing. I think that is far from true. By thinking that way you strip a woman of her voice and ability to community her preferences.

For instance, with respect to the guy I’m dating there are two things I’ve notice he does after learning more about red pill mgtow stuff, that the philosophies advocate. I dislike both those things. They definitely don’t make me more attracted to him, they are annoying actually. But I had been tolerating them because there are a lot of other things about his personality I do like.

What are the mgtow things he does that you’ve noticed?? The whole thing creeps me out to no end. It would be a dealbreaker for me as the red pill rhetoric comes off as deeply manipulative and I think attracts really insecure guys.

Because it's a biological impulse. What a silly question.

I would vote for getting out OP. Like others have said, if he really is going down the red pill road, he will show his true colors when you try to break it off.

This is what I found out: A member of an online subculture of people (mostly men) who define themselves as unable to find a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one.
Discussions in incel forums are often characterized by resentment, misogyny, misanthropy, self-pity and self-loathing, racism, a sense of entitlement to sex, and the endorsement of violence against sexually active people

OP, for crying out loud, can we learn something about what he posted and the two behaviors of his you do not like? I understand that red pill paints all women with the same brush - evil, conniving, interested in money and cheating, want to date a guy named Chad who lifts weights, etc., but what did HE write/do and what were the circumstances? Did a women he dated blindside him? Did something else happen?

So stop tolerating and GTFO of this relationship. Please also change your locks, get new credit cards, get credit check, get an alarm system, get a pepper spray, park your car inside the garage, get STD check...you have been compromised and contaminated. You are also tagged and there is a GPS chip on you somewhere. Maybe block him on your SM and make sure that you are not sharing location with him on your phone, devices etc.

My friend was dating someone who turned out to be a red piller and it was not easy for her to break off contacts.

Given the number of posters who are using the word, that tens to suggest it’s a real one and not something one person made up. Perhaps try googling if you actually want to participate in the discussions Nd aren’t just trying to dismiss it and shut it down.
