I generally have no interest in celebrities, but I was surprisingly saddened by the news of the death of Luis Troyano, a Great British Bakeoff participant who just seemed like such a nice person.

Prince - still sad and shocking
Michael Jackson - although not sure it would have the same effect now
Princess Diana - she was my age and her wedding dress was the one we all aspired to
Gwen Ifill - I particularly miss her every election cycle

Technically RBG's death will impact us the most because of the current makeup of the court, but because it was so expected if didn't hit me

Aaliyah's death rocked me, and then two weeks later 9/11 happened.
