I love Irene.

Other favorites are Helen, Ruth, and the various virtue names -- Faith, Hope, Prudence. (Not Chastity or Charity though, heh.)

Elizabeth and Emily are also favorites but while used a lot 100 years ago, they have never really gone out of style, so they don't count.

Why is Biker popular?

It isn't. There's a poster who just adds it to name threads. For fun, I guess?

Ooh love Imogen. That’s a name you don’t hear too often, even with the new love of old lady names.

I also like Daphne and Violet

PP here. I feel like we have similar taste in names.

I think there are different schools of old lady names. Like there's WASPy old lady (Lydia, Sylvia) names and Southern old lady names (Hattie, Lettie). I am partial to British old lady names (Imogen) and Film Star old lady names (Fay, Vera).
