Between the kids who’ve gone private and the kids who just plain don’t log in anymore, my kid’s public school cohort has gotten pretty small too. Not complaining, he’s doing great.
This is true. My kid's NW DC public is down to 15 kids in my child's class. It's actually turning out to be an incredible year.
We also have a kid in a top DC private (older grade). We're paying $49K this year (all-in) and have received 4 in-person days so far. About $12K per day. LOL
I have to laugh or I'll cry.
So, you love one kid enough to pay for a TOP private and don't love the other one so you put them in private.
You are paying for the education and holding your spot for when school is in person.
If people weren't so selfish and kept their kids home we could have been through the virus quicker and maybe all kids, not just yours return.
