NP How is it hard to say? I've never heard an American say that- do you speak another language?

+1

Fletcher is easier to say than Whitaker.

Fletcher
Whitaker (nn Whit, which we would use 90% of the time)

Full disclosure, I think those are two bad names, but I don’t like using last names as first names. However, if those are the only two names left on the planet for a boy that I had to pick from I would choose Fletcher and use a nickname.

I love them both! Solid, unique, preppy names. I realize that doesn’t help you choose. If I had to pick, I’d pick Whitake, BUT I really like them both.

Fletcher is absolutely awful and it makes me think of a dog (I've known a few dogs named Fletcher).

Whitaker is okay... does it have sentimental meaning to you? If not, I would go back to the drawing board, but if I had to choose between the two, definitely Whitaker.

I think Fletcher is hard to say. Whit is a great name.

These both sound like middle names to me.

I knew a Whit. He was a cool guy.

Whit is effeminate to me. Like Brit for Brittany, or similar.

Also, Winston

Maybe you could do William, nn Whit. It wouldn’t necessary stick, but I do know little Williams with nicknames other than Will.

Fletch = Retch
