I have this in my current bathroom and plan to do the same set up when we renovate. SItting while I apply makeup is a luxury.

I am seeing showers with less glass. Something to think about on this front, OP, if you are considering it. While I like the look of a partially enclosed shower, I want/need a warm shower. So the glass enclosure/or door allows for that. The only partially enclosed bath/showers I've used let cooler air in the entire time.

Same here. I traveled in Scandinavia where shower rooms are common. You freeze.

We chose beautiful tile for both baths we did (marble mosaic tile), chose classic design, got high quality toilets, and redid four closets using professional closet design for it. As much as I love the baths, the closets we did (one walk-in and three reach in with double doors) made the biggest look difference to us in terms of day to day feeling of being organized and in control. The closet systems also enabled us to give away some dressers that we didn’t need anymore since we maximized our closet space

Oh, yeah! We LOVE our heated tile floor in the bathroom. It's got a programmable thermostat so the floor is warm by the time we get up in the morning and warm about an hour before going to bed.

Another vote for heated floors, and the programmable thermostat. It made a huge diff in the comfort of my bathroom. Also, a cheap thing, but a bath fan with an auto sensor that turns on/off depending on the moisture level.

We did the same thing you did - although it was the 4th bedroom and not the 6th. Some regrets in now having a 3 BR house, but the functionality is so much better that it was worth it. The 4th bedroom is now the closet and the space from the old closets is now part of the bathroom. We did heated floors in the bathroom, which are great. I wish we had a heated towel bar too. We have lots of storage in the bathroom. Part of that is a counter to ceiling cabinet that's about 1/2 the counter depth between the two sinks. Probably about 3 feet wide. Mirrors on the outside of the doors but also on the inside, which is surprisingly useful.

Closet room looks more like a room than a traditional closet (because it was) with 2 windows, window benches, a chandelier, and of course built-ins all around the walls and a dresser island.
