This is a good point: a lot of Catholic colleges were on thin financial ice already before the pandemic, so it's worth checking on the state of things before pinning your hopes on one. For instance, I would have put John Carroll in the mix, but it's very tuition-dependent and in its current financial straits it's trying to fire a lot of faculty. You wouldn't want to choose a college whose curriculum had been gutted by the time you got there.
