Btw, you don't get to decide things. You don't get to decide how things will be, not more than 50% of the time anyway. Even home-life issues.
I don’t get it. Why would you take a spouse and children who are excited to see you, who have prepared a nice meal for you, and are genuinely upset when you aren’t there to enjoy it with them, and try to push them to be more indifferent to your coming and going? Is whatever is going on at work really that important?
