I thought that was the Park Police and the DC National Guard whose helicopter pilot went rogue. Which reminds me I haven’t seen that report.


I believe it was Park Police and some Arlington County cops on loan. The Arlington cops were the ones hitting the Australian journalist in the head IIRC. So, cops, not military.

If it did, and Americans revolted, he'd have everything in place to tamp it down. But, again, noone really thinks any of this will actually come to pass.



This sounds about right to me. And according to a PP might be as much about Afghanistan policy as anything domestic.

Someone I know who works at the Pentagon now says she never would have guessed it either. But also doesn't think he has the chops for this promotion.
