And yet you called out today so that my child, who had an in person slot, will DL all year. You really love my kid who is not just not learning but loosing ground in skills? Cause I feel right now like you don't and like I am on my own. Like the OP said (or I think she said - it was too long) - we are not all in this together, We are all on our own and we better start acting like it.
I’m the PP. I held class as normal today. I helped 75 students write essays and met with my advisory. I also called some families and had individual conferences with 20 students.
Uh you're an HS teacher, you weren't striking today anyway. But cute you like to pander to random white DCUM moms.
I held class today too but only because I teach self-contained and Monday morning is way too late to tell my parents no class, they count on it.

Well, duh. Who didn't already know that?
Go read the posts by the entitled parents on the other threads. It is not as well known as you would expect.
Parents know SN kids in person will open the door for more kids down the line. Just like if you listen teachers you'd think they are all stricken with autoimmune diseases taking care of their live in obese parents with lung issues

FWIW - I want to be back in person ASAP - but not with that stupid plan.
