I have a 2008 with over 200K miles. I have to take it in to get the timing belt changed...and that's the most expensive maintenance bill I've had with this vehicle thus far.
Not anymore. Consumer reports gives them a 1/5 for predicted reliability.
The Acura brand has been stalling in recent times, and on the reliability front, it's surprising how badly they've messed up. Older Acuras were (/still are) super reliable long-term. New models have been having big problems right out of the gate, hence the low Consumer Reports scores.
The MDX redesign was just unveiled and it looks pretty good, but I wouldn't touch it based on Acura's issues lately.
