There are many reasons people would want to escape DC. The pandemic probably pushed those who had means to escape. Is this going to be the new white flight (or wealth flight these days)?
Sweetie, this is not 1994 anymore. Houses are still selling like hotcakes. My friends who moved out just went to their beach houses to ride out the pandemic. They still live in DC. We are thinking about renting a house in FL for Jan thru March. We will change our address, but we will not "move" out of DC.
I haven't seen an open air drug market in years! Where in the hell do you live? Where does DPW not pick up trash? Give me a break.
