It’s crushing early voting in prior elections. We’re up to percentages of the entire election turnout, something like 11%?

I'll be early voting in person in NY. It starts October 24 and ends November 1. I really wish this period started a few weeks earlier. I mean, why not make it convenient for everyone (aside from voter suppression)?

I live in MD and live walking distance two both an early voting site and a regular polling site. We have far longer lines to vote at the early voting sites than we have at the regular polling sites in our area. The early voting site is open for 8 days. The regular polling site only the day of elections. A lot of people in this area have variable schedules and have certain days that work better for them to wait than others. So they pick a convenient day and then will wait even if the wait is longer than trying to squeeze in voting on a busy election day when they have other things planned.

I usually go on the regular day because Tuesdays are one of my less busy days and more convenient than other days. If election day were a Thursday (a busy day for me), I would be out on an early election Tuesday to vote rather than try to rearrange my Thursday schedule. Same type of situation for many in our area. But I voted by absentee ballot this year and just got notice this morning that my ballot was received.


I also voted absentee in MD. I’m not worried about our votes getting tossed because it’s pretty unlikely they will challenge the Maryland election since the state is so blue. It would be a huge waste of money. If I lived I a swing state I would have voted in person.


I'm in MD too, an will vote early. Mostly cause I want my vote for questions A-D to be counted same day.


I should add, I'm in MoCo. Not just MD.

Those questions will impact our day to day just as much as the presidential will

Absentee ballots are fine.
Absentee ballots are good, OK?
But mail-in ballots, mail-in ballots are a complete disgrace.

It's up to ~8 million now with total votes cast as a % of 2016 turnout above 20% for Virginia, Minnesota, and Wisconsin and ~15% for Michigan, Florida and ~10% for North Carolina
