Giving meds, sitting up all night comforting him through the pain of 3 surgeries. Hes never going to take care of himself. I use vacation time to take him to the vet when my coworkers run out of the office when their kids sneeze. And when the awful day comes and he leaves us, I will have to take another vacation day, then suck it up the rest of the week but Suzie gets bereavement for her grandmother that she hasn't seen or spoken to in 5 years. So if I want to call myself a dog mom I will. Funny thing is my empty nest friends who get dogs are fall right into it. They call them their 2nd..3rd etc child. Just wait.
You....actually believe your dog dying could be compared to a human dying? Or a sick dog is on the same level as a sick child??? Completely insane. A dog is an animal. Trust me I have had pets and I have a child and it’s no comparison.

I pity your kid who is raised by a hag woman who can't empathize with another person's pain. I hope he doesn't grow up to be a serial killer.
I prioritize my child over animals. I know, it’s completely insane!!
Yes I do believe my dog dying can be compared as a major loss and worse then someone grieving over a human that they are not close to. I said that my coworkers run for a sneeze, I was not talking about a serious illness. No one questions it. I should not have to take vacation hours to take my dog to the vet if someone is leaving the office to take a kid to the Dr (a few times a year) and not using hours. I am not insane, read the post idiot.

Anonymous wrote:I have a friend who posted on Facebook recently "I buried my son today." I gasped thinking she must have had a miscarriage or stillbirth. Nope, she put her dog down. I can kinda sorta understand calling yourself a "dog mom" but I can't go as far as calling your pet a "son" or "daughter".

This whole dog mom thing is a thing for Sad Ladies that are trying to fill up some kind of gap in their life by calling themselves mother to their dog. The last few years I see people like this celebrating "mother's day" as mother to their dog. Pitiful.
Oh really? And women who have child after child aren't trying to fill some emotional void inside themselves? Please.
Sorry lonely dog mom, did I strike a nerve?
Also can we talk about how weird it is when people put their dog in a stroller or baby carrier? Completely deranged.
We get it, bitch, you are so superior with your children that some of us are unable to have and yes, we might be sad about it and nurture our pets instead. Does it make you feel better to berate us about something that literally does not affect you?
Now kindly get of the pet forum and let us dog moms be in peace.
