Fried eggplant that was so soft it melted in the mouth in a pita with israeli salad (tomatoes and cucumbers finely diced) and hummus. My god. I would kill for one right now.

When I got home from the hospital after my c-section, my mom made me a grilled cheese with an assortment of cheeses we had from Cowgirl Creamery. It was amazing! A muffuletta from Central Grocery in the French Quarter would also make my list of top sandwiches.

It’s good, but not among the best sandwiches I’ve had. They’re stingy with the sauce!

Pastrami sandwich from the 2nd Avenue Deli back when the original was still alive. Pickles and mustard right on the table. The best. Undefeated. No competition.

That sounds so delicious and indulgent!

Capriottis has this on the menu every day. It’s called the Bobbie.

Mmm...Capriottis. That's the number sandwich chain in my view. Unfortunately I don't live anywhere near one these days.

A really good hoagie. Had them in Philly way back when. Vace makes a good one and Taylor Gourmet did when they first opened.
