Futsal leagues are dumb. Futsal pickup games at the “Y” are smart. Great way to have free play with no coaching and to fine tune micro foot skills, but a costly league with a coach trying to make some extra dough is overkill.
Such an ignorant comment. My kid loves the sport. It is high paced, technical and very competitive. You can tell who plays futsal during the outdoor offseason and who doesnt. Its obvious.
If you think playing pick up ball of any sort with no coaching at the "Y" leads to fine tuning micro foot skills you are as clueless as your post.
If so then why bother with any organized coached sport. You can simply send your kid to the "Y" for some pick up basketball, soccer, football and we should expect technical growth on par with other paid options.
Seriously man watch a competitive futsal game and tell me its dumb or you can learn those skills at the "Y". If you think so after watching it you just need to go back to your recliner and binge all day NFL on Sundays as its likely you do already. You know nothing about the sport
Well basketball, soccer and football have the potential for some financial gains in the long run. Futsal does not. If you want to be an expert in futsal, by all means pay to play all you want. I’m starting a pickle ball and badminton league, and will look to the futsal people to get some ideas on how to get people to part with their money.

I am not talking about playing on soccer fields. Alexandria has outdoor Futsal courts in . . . Alexandria. It would just be uncomfortable absent unseasonably warm temps.

Thanks
Ask me in November. I'll let know know when it's time to make the decision.
Given all of the work others have to do to get this ready by November, you'll understand of course if we don't wait for you to make up your mind. But duly noted.
What work do you YOU have to do to get ready for your kid to play futsal this winter? Thanks
Foot drills and first touch, then repeat over and over again. Technical skills really stands out during futsal and it really differentiates skilled players with just the typical fast/strong players.

But that weighted ball is so much fun to kick in the cold...
About as much fun as the two of you. I bet your kids will be thrilled to be holed up with you. Dumb. And weak. Stop contributing to the gene pool as soon as possible.
Look in the mirror
