I feel like the frequency in which this occurs is increasing exponentially. I’m talking beyond normal rebellion - most 15-25 year old boys do NOT act this way.
Example: (and don’t fixate on the specific example - but I am seeing this type of thing more and more in all areas of life)
Normal rebellion: group of teens at neighborhood pool play loud music in violation of rules, but turns it off when requested by lifeguard/pool staff to do so.
Not normal but occurring more often: same thing as above but when asks to turn it off becomes belligerent, entitled, curses, refuses or is otherwise rude to pool staff.
entitled kids take cues from entitled parents

Perhaps these young boys and men feel the same about the way they are spoken to and / or treated.
Blasting your music in a public place is a dick move, plain and simple. The only ones not showing respect in this situation are the teens.

Well, it's kind of trendy right now....
It’s not trendy. It’s poor parenting. Indulging these children, lack of manners, and respect for themselves and others. If your child acts this way to others, you have failed as a parent.

It’s a shame, but look at what we see from the most powerful man in the country 🤮. On the plus side, the young men that act like civilized adults have a huge leg up with dating, career wise... knowing how to read a room is huge +

Baes on your post, it appears you are the same way.
The same way as what? Are you able to express yourself a little better than that perhaps?
DP. Above pp proved her point, well you proved her point with your eff you reply. Now we know where your ds gets it.

So this is not about your kid? Why are you wasting our time?
It is the perfect example of “the rules don’t apply to me” mentality I was referring to.
And “wasting your time”???? This is DCUM. If that is your concern, this is the wrong website for you. All we do here is waste time.
Seriously, how are you wondering where your DS gets it from? Or perhaps you are the teen in question?
OP here. Why do you assume I am asking about my own child? I don’t have a DS. I’m just really concerned that these people I’m seeing are going to be the husbands and fathers (and business owners and political leaders) of tomorrow. It’s concerning.
You are clearly argumentative yourself. If you plan on having kids, you should know that they will copy you. If you ahve young dds, they might turn the same. Plus, what is the purpose of you being concerned? Are you going to start a public campaing to rein the young men in?
