Hudson totally cracks me up because, for decades, it was my mom’s example of an insane name that no one wpuld ever use. For example: “i don’t understand the name Shannon. It’s the name of a river. It’s like naming your baby Hudspn. Can you imagine???!!??”
We lived on the shores of the Hudson. For us, it’s like naming a baby Mississipi, or Danube, or Nile...but I guess people do that too.
Ditto. Hudson = a filthy river

It's pretty hideous for any child but especially egregious for a girl. I'm a NYC native and if I saw this name I would 100% think the parents had no higher than a 10th grade education. It's super tacky.

I personally think this type of name is for the "Gather" set. Which is fine, if that's your thing.
What does this mean?
The signs all over the house.
Gather
In This Family, we...forgive, etc.
Thankful

Hilarious. I will use "Gather Set" from now on to describe such people.
I love when the thread detours like this. There's a Gather-esque mom at my library with a Delaney and I believe the older son is Dayson or Daison or Dacen.
