WORK FOR FREE. you can afford to do this, and it is a huge advantage for gaining experience. Start ups and non profits want people who are smart but cheap. And if it’s a small staff, you’ll have more of the “interesting” responsibilities you want (tho you’ll still have to answer phones, etc.) reach out to family friends, work your school networks, do work on spec to get attention from hiring managers.

Do you want to get married and have kids?

If yes, focus on that. Volunteer somewhere or try to get a job at a dance studio (post Covid) Marry a guy who makes good money. You probably have a network of high net worth guys you could date. Then you can have kids and stay home with them.

Why not teach dance? Clearly you think very highly of yourself and could even start an online teaching platform. Go be President of your own online dance company. Sell online classes. Get lots of Botox and stay thin. You’ll do great.

This. I have a trust fund that I got access to an 21 but other than to support myself during law school I have never spent it.

Forgot to add that these all require a lot of hard work, focus, and often financial investment--as you probably know. It's a good idea to make sure that your ADHD is treated well first if you choose any of these paths.

Whatevs. I have untreated ADHD and am higy successful in one of these fields. You have to fund something that interests you to the exclusion of everything else. Hyper focus like hell, kick ass.

PP. Of course there are many highly successful people with ADHD. My daughter has it, and it wasn't my intention to imply that people with ADHD aren't hardworking or focused.

Sometimes people want to pursue one of these paths, without being aware of how much hard work and focus it takes. When ADHD is untreated, it can make things even more challenging.

I mean if you aren’t married, don’t have kids, have a trust fund and are already mid 30s...

Id seriously consider just moving to Costa Rica or Thailand or something and retiring.

Of course they can’t. A top tier school wants top tier experience - not a hodgepodge of jobs with no progression. An MBA isn’t a solution here.

Get a career coach. There are a wide variety of jobs out there, some that people with adhd are suited to. You need to find your niche.

What's the problem?

Exactly this. Do you have ambition? Why do you have a trust fund? Is there something up that you aren’t disclosing?

I think that makes sense, I would look for career counseling with someone who is also familiar with neurological differences. You say you test "highly" and did fine in school except for being a slacker, but look hard at the things that seem to come most easily to you that you also enjoy. You might consider contacting an ADHD organization, they may be able to provide referrals to people who can help you find a starting point.

Move. Comparison is the thief of joy. You need new friends with more down-to-earth lives.

Trust fund slacker, you are running out of time. It sounds like the one thing that might work out given your undergraduate degree is working admin at a dance studio or interning with the administration of a dance company. Or maybe a non-profit like National Dance Institute. You won't get paid much but you don't need too much to get by - a win-win for both you and the organization.

Op,have you try looking for federal jobs, with your degree, you should be able to find something that would fit your background and interest. I don't recommend entry level jobs with lots of paper work, maybe a nonprofit organization like United Way, fund raising type of jobs.
