It's weird, but some people really love their masks. When this thing is over, I am rounding up every mask in this house, and maybe the neighbor's too, and burning them. They are not cute, they are not fashionable, they are uncomfortable, and I pine for the day when they are no longer so normalized.
Sadly, I think that will literally be years from now.

I know. I just throw whatever masks are lying around in with whatever is going into the washer and dryer. Then, whenever anyone is looking for a clean mask, they dig through the heap of clean laundry in the hallway that never gets folded and put way. Just like when they need clean underwear and socks. Isn't that how everyone does it?

Its just a lot more wear and tear, and if you like the way your mask fits pre-washing, you don't want it to shrink. Mine are from an etsy seller, I love them and they way they fit and want them to last as long as possible. However I've had no issues air drying them overnight and them being good to go the next day. Plus I don't wash them all at once, so I could just wear one of the ones I didn't wash while waiting for the others to dry. I air dry a lot of things and have several drying racks, so its no big deal. I'm always air drying something.

I'm washing and drying mine in a delicates bag, they mostly come out of the dryer slightly damp still because of the pleats, but once I straighten them out they dry on the counter in a couple of hours. We have a weeks worth anyhow, so there is usually an already clean one we could use while the others dry.

I just throw them in the wash with everything else (so regular, on cold) in a delicates bag. Then I hang them on our defacto drying rack, the treadmill in the basement. They usually dry within a couple of hours.

I hang them on a drying rack with a towel underneath (because they are dripping wet if I don’t use the spin cycle). Last time I actually threw them in the dryer on the extra low heat cycle for a little while before hanging them up.
