Quit whining. People are losing lives and homes. You are not in that situation. If have been given a golden opportunity to spend this time doing something for your own comfort and pleasure, or for educating yourself, or learning a new skill or hobby - then for GODS SAKE use it.
White people! SMH!!
We lost our home.
And who says I'm white? I'm Hispanic, for the record, and you're a Grade A b*tch.
I’m sorry you lost your home.
Then it seems like you should be looking for a job...any job...right?
When my BFF lost her white collar office job, she ended up babysitting for a neighbor in need. Long story short: being a nanny for her neighbor provided cash under the table and allowed her to be at home for her own kids. They made some adjustments, and she’s decided to stay home and babysit (at least for now).
Good luck to you.

There aren't any puppies available these days, according to the Post. The waiting list is, like, 2 years long.
Just FYI.
You can buy a puppy.
OP has no money for buying a dog, duh.

Call the women’s center for counseling—job or otherwise. It’s on a sliding scale.
Not depressed. I just don't see the point in sitting at home all day, depending on someone else.

Then take a walk every day. Volunteer.
That's not satisfying. I already do both.

I think it is easy to feel like you're wandering and lost when you don't have anything to do except for chores. But turn it into a postive. Make a daily list of what needs to get done. Don't go crazy. You don't need to do all household activities in 1 day.
Some examples. Get up and start a laundry. While laundry is going, make some coffee and read a book you got for free (tons of online resources). Throw laundry in dryer and start next wash. While that wash is going, clean one room in house. Or do one chore in house (vacuum, clean surfaces, etc). While last wash is in dryer, do something fun for yourself. Free workout video, a puzzle, paint, watch an episode of a TV show. When the dryer is done, put away the two loads of laundry. Don't do any laundry for the day. At this point, you've done quite a bit. Now is the time to job search.
I literally loved working. Didn't need anything else. Now I'm just a chauffeur and cleaning lady, and there's got to be more.
