I tell my husband if he doesn't want more kids we can't have sex. Fortunately we want a big family
Why can’t he get snipped?
DP, but mine refuses to even consider it, despite the fact that neither of us want any more children.

And I've now used an IUD for 15 years
My OB told me that the mini pill is only 90% effective which seems like terrible odds if you’re trying to prevent a pregnancy? Like “oh good, only 1 in 10 women will accidentally create another human being”
Closer to 99% with perfect use. Average use 90%.
Perfect use means taking it exactly the same time every day. You miss a day and you're unprotected for a week. Hence oops babies.
I used it for years and no oops babies. It doesn't give you the clotting and stroke risk like the estrogen ones. I just set a timer to take it at the same time every day. Not that hard.

My main bit of advice is to keep the fact that this is an "oops baby" to yourself. I was an "oops baby" and knew it my whole life. My parents regularly talked about it, mentioned it to friends/strangers, etc. Although they were fantastic parents and loved me very much, it made me feel unwanted. I vowed I would never do this with a kid of mine if they were an "oops."
