Does she even know the roommate or met her? If they move off campus and end up not getting along and/or have different lifestyles then you are stuck paying rent for your dad to live in a sh** show. The advantage to being on campus as a freshman is figuring out who you are and what you like or are willing to put up with. And if the roommate choice doesn’t work out, you change rooms. If your dad was already a sophomore and knew the girl and wanted to live with her, then I’d say ok. But not as a freshman.
