If true, I'm actually really happy that the state is involved. If DL is going to be imposed on us, there should be actual governance over the districts so that they don't do another year of kick the can down the road.

9:00 - 9:30 - Morning meeting
9:30 - 10:30 - Science
10:30 - 10:45 - Break
10:45 - 11:15 - Specials
11:15 - 11:45 - First Charger Time (Small group work, and asynchronous learning)
11:45 - 12:45 - Lunch/Recess/Family Choice
12:45 - 1:15 - Second Charger Time (Small group work, and asynchronous learning)
1:15 - 2:15 - Math
2:15 - 2:25 - Break
2:25 - 3:25 - Language Arts
3:25 - 3:40 - Closing Circle
I'm generally okay with this schedule, although I feel that there is WAY too much 'doing nothing time' (10:45 - 1:15) in the middle of the day, and it's more academically loaded towards the end of the day.
The asynchronous is way too much. What are the teachers doing????

So that's 320 minutes (5.33 hours) of class each day.
What grade? That seems way too long but my kids are in elementary.
