I've always thought a family of 4 was the perfect size (it's what DH and I both grew up with) and now I'm definitely sure of it. Money is part of it, but honestly more of it is about time - time to still devote to my career, my extended family, my hobbies, all of which would be wiped out with a third child. Also, I've realized I really enjoy getting a good night's rest and honestly with 3 I'm not sure that would ever happen, or at least not for a long long time. Plus overpopulation/environment is definitely a factor these days too.

Turns out, DH isn't really into parenting. He managed to hide it after first child was born. Perhaps the initial excitement allowed him to show up more. After second child was born, DH checked out. My plans for three kids went out the door with DH.

DH does not mind zero to max 1 kid. I want min 1 to max 2 kids. If I am a few years younger, have money, bigger house & helping hands,I don’t mind having 1 more kid. We have 1 older boy & younger girl, perfect combo for us.
