I am thinking of the 2 million dollar houses in this area that are 4000 sq ft and have 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. They are not mansions size-wise, only price-wise. Still way too many bathrooms. I wouldn’t want to spend double on a cleaning service just for the bathrooms either!
That’s the way builders worked from the 90s onward in any size home. Even 3 BR townhouses have 3.5 baths if they’re newer. A lot of the remodels around that time also centered on getting more bathroom space (putting powder rooms in toilets, hooking up bathrooms in basements).

In the olden days, rich Europeans would just poop in the corner, or maybe into a chamber pot. I guess this is a lifestyle upgrade for these people.

Unbelievably ugly and charmless! I am cracking up at this house. So many weird custom rug shapes. And, notice that the His closet is full of clothes, but the Hers closet (with the girly light fixtures) is empty.

There was a house on Million Dollar Listing last night tha t had 22 toilets in 15 bathrooms. “The house is built for entertaining” is what they said....

I’m cleaning my own McMansion. Cleaned 7 toilets yesterday.

I think that for me one of the signs of having truly arrived in not having to smell anyone else's poop or other bodily secretions, and having privacy to poop. Anyone who remembers people banging on the door for you to hurry up because they also had to go?
Ha! So not only does your poop not stink, you can’t smell anyone else’s! I guess you don’t own a pet or have ever changed a baby’s diapers or toilet trained a toddler. Sad life if you ask me!

Yes, I grew up that way, and live that way in my current house. I wasn't poor growing up and am not poor now. Probably UMC. It's just life. So you smell someone's poop or have to wait for the bathroom. That's life. Also why they invented air fresheners (although I hate the smell of those even worse and don't use them. But nothing says my parents' house like their nasty 80s-era air fresheners ...).
