I asked my four bridesmaids to just pick out a blue dress they loved. They wanted a specific color (fine, navy blue), then they wanted to go dress shopping with me. All four separately ended up picking the same exact dress from David’s Bridal. I figure people must think I was a bridezilla but I was the opposite!

OP, I say go with the green. Adding red to pops of green may look Christmas-y.

I like both colors. Sounds like it will be a beautiful wedding.

Get your colors done professionally and go from there.

That's what I would do as well. Varying tones look good.

When I was a bridesmaid, the bride had narrowed it down to 2 colors. To finalize the color the bride and local bridesmaids went together to the shop. Turns out the bride's first choice, a an emerald green with a black sheen, did not got well at all with our complexions. We all had similar complexions. So, the bride chose the other color which was more of a teal. I really didn't care what color I wore.

I think a shade green would be lovely and still gives you lots of options.

I would go with the green over the wine, pick the green that looks best on all bridesmaids.

I picked one dress and told everyone to get it because I was told it was easier than requiring everyone to find their own dress. It might have pissed people off but at the time it made sense to me, they were all spread out and it was a ‘tip’ from a person who had been a bridesmaid a billion times. Meh.

Luckily I have one sister and my husband has one brother. Bam! That was it. Believe it or not, one of my friends was actually upset by it. I got married at 33.

I did chartreuse green in September.

I HATE David's Bridal. Are you all 25? Then it's maybe okay. The look like cheap prom dresses. Why not get a nice dress from a department store or boutique instead for the money? I've also felt scammed every time I bought a dress there. They measure too big and then need alterations, which are $$$. I typically fit well in off the rack dresses, so I'm not sure why their cheap dresses need alterations. And I guarantee no one will ever wear a David's bridal dress again.

I got married and used David's Bridal in my 30s. I loved it - they had a lot of flattering styles and the prices were good. Don't be such a snob geez!

I look great in emerald and terrible in black. I have light brown hair and fair skin. Black makes me look weirdly gothy and pale. I wear navy or grey when I need a dark neutral. I think most people woth northern european skin tone look good in more shades of green. It’s not a great color for brown skinned girls. A color like mauve or peach is the reverse—looks great on dark skinned women, terrible on light skinned women.
