Did not require us to do so. Perhaps you misunderstood.

+1. No college requires the FAFSA to review the app. (Merit is another matter entirely, as some colleges require the FAFSA to rule out Pell eligibility before dispensing merit.)

It's great ... all the pluses of the other Catholic/Jesuit colleges, but I think it's more diverse in terms of student body and ideology.

My college roommate's daughter is a recent grad. Fordham wasn't her first choice, but she got significant merit aid which made a big difference to her family. She was admitted to an honors program that required her to live on the Rose Hill campus. She ended up having a great experience, including a terrific internship that turned into a job offer after graduation.

+1 I fill out the FAFSA annually to keep my kids merit aid. The FAFSA isn't that invasive. Truly. Nearly everything I report can be backed out well enough from the information returns supplied to the IRS. It just isn't a big deal.

Cons:

$$$$

STEM programs aren't worth it

Sports are D1 but mediocre

The campus isn't active on weekends - some kids go home, others party in the city, or they party at the off campus bars until late then sleep in.






I only heard this second hand, but apparently the food is still not great. Another pro for the list: A lot of students seem to take advantage of the internship opportunities in NYC.
(My child seriously considered Fordham, but didn't attend.)
