I had wedding reception at the Garden City Hotel. I would only move back if I had the money to afford a waterfront house. Don’t miss the people or attitude....
Garden City didn't used to sell real estate to jews. Has that changed yet?

Great pizza/Italian restaurants
EVERYONE has a pool
Bagels (obviously)
Boardy Barn (but too old for them now anyway).
Drinking on the train home

I went to Beth Shalom day camp in Roslyn.
Adventureland.
Laces or United Skates of America.
Jones beach concerts
Long Beach
My high school graduation and first concert were at Nassau Collesium
Lots of Islanders even though I was a Rangers fan.
What was that water park way out on the LIE?

I miss:
-being by the water
-egg bagels (not a bagel with an egg on it!!)
-Concerts at Jones Beach. That's gotta be one of the best venues in the world
-Delicious pizza by the slice
-my family
But in general, I strongly dislike Long Island, and never fit in, despite being born and raised there. I didn't like most people, and god knows most of them didn't like me. I left for college and never lived there again. I much prefer it here.
