Otherwise does he feels he earns more so he gets more. I don't know but this is really off, I would look at living somewhere more affordable.
Op here. I save $200/month. Not per week.
Mortgage is 2900.
Car payments, 275 and 303. I drive a Pacifica and he has a 4Runner.
Insurance is 300.
Câble/cellphone is 500.
Electricity, gas, garbage, water is 400/month.
$200 for student loan payments.
We pay around ~200/month on a joint credit card.
We only put 3.5% down when we bought our first home which in hindsight, was not the best decision.
If we could move somewhere with cheaper property taxes and did not have mortgage insurance, we would save a lot of money.

Easy spend that much on groceries for a family + gas.
$500 a week is a ridiculous amount for food and gas. Were a family of 7 living in and out ofthe house and only spend $50 a week on gas and $150-$200 on food a week including take out 1 night. OP you are living beyond your means compared to what you bring home.
You don't live in the metro dc area.
That's right I dont. I live in NYC were it's just as expensive.

Guy here and glad someone else has a joint account. I don’t believe in his and her money. We’re fortunate to do well for ourselves and when we want to spend on ourselves or each other, we can. I’m asking myself, WTF would someone need $800 a month just for themselves. The only thing I can come up with is he has a girlfriend or he goes to strip clubs and has to hide it. 🤷♂️
I know I’ll hear a lot of flack about my comments...
Op here.
I hope it’s not a girlfriend. I don’t think he goes a to stripclubs, because unless it’s online there’s no questionable circumstances where he’s MIA.

Well time to stop buying Goji berries at WF and driving a Land Rover. I shop at Safeway and drive a Prius, and yes I live in Northwest DC. $500 a week for gas/groceries is insane unless you drive a tractor or have Duggar level of kids.
