Two kids in carseats. Do sometimes need to haul a lot of boxes in the back.

8 just replied separately by mistake. We are happy with the RDX. Very comfortable but our kids are teens so I don’t have experience with car seats. The new MDX is rumored to be available in December if you need a third row. We might get that to replace our other car which is a minivan.

No brainer.

Not even the Volvo?
No. Worst to potentially not so awful on that list would be, IMO, Range Rover, Volvo, Audi, Jeep.
But look, I expect 250,000 mostly trouble-free miles out of cars, and I routinely get that from anything by Honda or Toyota (which makes Acura and Lexus).
LOL, all of those brands now rank higher than Acura for reliability. Even Lexus is no longer on top. The mighty has fallen. I grew up with Toyotas and Hondas, I know what you mean. But these days, the difference just isn't there anymore and the Europeans have not only caught up, but surpassed the Japanese.
I agree !Anonymous wrote:New Sahara. None of those are fun to drive.

I strongly recommend you check one out. Mercedes reliability is decent as well. If you want something even more aggressive, check out the GLC Coupe.
I really like the GLC, but when I've looked online their starting price point is too high. Seems like the others mostly start below and you might end up where the Mercedes starts. But I am also considering a certified pre-owned BMW X3, which is a way that price point comes down.
