I know you said Target cheapies, but have you specifically tried the Cat & Jack from Target? My 8 year old likes them a lot.

I buy Carter's for my 6 year old and Cat & Jack from Target for my 8 year old. I prefer the Carter's but I have to have different brands so I can tell them apart, LOL.

Thanks for the suggestion! Will try these out for my daughter (she isn’t much of a dress person) for under her leggings

I personally would suggest getting cartwheel shorts from Children’s Place. My daughters wear them all the time not only under dresses, but they also wear them under jeans, sweat pants, gym shorts, and etc. They are advertised as under dress/uniform shorts, but in my household we use them as every day underwear. I personally like getting the 5 pack twice (once white and once black.) my daughters tried regular underwear but didn’t like it. When I gave them the cartwheel shorts to try under their sweat pants, they loved it.

I;m a big Primary fan and the boy's are great. However, the girl leg-wholes are huge IMO; DD doesn't like them.

OP Great question. For those with tall/thin kids, what works? I like H&M but find them hard to find online.

I like Old Navy a surprising amount. DD has been in the same size for 3 years now (chunky little kid that's slimmed out) and they're still in great shape. Even her HA unders are getting holes, and the Old Navy ones are going strong. We also have some random Amazon brand ones that are thick cotton and good quality, even though they run very small.
