We are four months into this thing. What is the learning curve on wearing a mask. No wonder we cannot get the hard stuff done in this city.
Exactly/approximately how long do you people imagine we should be muzzled?
inb4 an ineffective toxic vaccine.

And you simply cannot ask somebody to raise their mask over their nose or they will whip out a camera and Karen you. Just not worth it.
The selfish have won. It has been coming for a while, but COVID put it over the top.
What if wearing a mask is actually the selfish act? Maybe we all need to risk and sacrifice getting ill with Covid in order to create immunity for the rest of society and help get the economy back on track. It’s kind of like stuffing your money in a mattress (which some people think is wise in times of financial distress) vs. buying goods (which helps others) or putting your money in a bank or in the market (where it can circulate and be used by others). Maybe everyone’s fear, isolation, and mask fetish is actually prolonging the epidemic all under the selfish act of protecting oneself.

The distressing thing is that wearing masks under your nose seems to be a new thing. I have been proud of DC resident's general attitude towards dealing with the pandemic. By in large I think that most of us are trying to everything we can to get through this. But this mask sagging is becoming more and more prevalent. Basically people are saying "leave me alone, I have a mask on my face." But in reality they are defeating the entire point of wearing a mask.
I realize that mask wearing has become political. That is why I am posting it in the DC politics forum. But I am starting to get frustrated that we simply cannot do the easy things correctly.
Yet 3% of Covid tests are positive, 97% are negative.
