My wife never puts on makeup. Maybe 3-4 times in entire life.

Skin is so much better (it is really day and night) between her and others who do regularly put on makeup. Do you realize how much damage makeup causes?

What exact damage does makeup cause!

Yeah, I'd like to know too. Pre-COVID I wore a full face every day and had really nice skin. Now I just do skincare and wear no makeup and my skin has gone to absolute S*IT!

NP, you seem to be mixing the cause and effect around you buddy. Your wife doesn’t feel a need to wear makeup because her skin is nice on its own.

I wear makeup every day, work or not, even if I’m by myself. But my full face of makeup = spot concealer, blush, tinted lip balm. I’m sure DH can’t tell the difference. But I can and I prefer it.

Before the pandemic...tinted moisturizer, mascara and lipstick/tinted balm. Married 20 years. During pandemic, nothing.

I think many women are taking full advantage of the pandemic by choosing to skip the makeup in order to let their skin breathe.

Because makeup is really not healthy for your skin.
It definitely clogs the pores even if you do wash your face every evening before bed.

I can't imagine putting on makeup to hang around my home.

Are you so down on how you actually look that you have to disguise it? If so, I think society has got you thinking that, with all of the touched up/air brushed photos, celebrities with fake bodies or eating disorders, etc.

Sad to me that people (female people) are not comfortable in their own (unadorned) skin.

Please f*** ALL the way off. No, I do not in fact like the way my chronic dermatological condition looks in the mirror, this is what’s known as a “normal human feeling” and you’re trying to pathologize it into some ViCtIm Of SoCiEtY sh*t. Do you also go around smugly trying to lecture parents of teens who spend money on braces? No, of course you don’t, because that doesn’t give you an excuse to inflict your sad internal misogyny on other women just living their own lives.

I sincerely hope you are in therapy... because you have some buttons which can be pushed WAY too easily...
