If it’s 3 am and I’m not in bed, I’m reading on the couch after / during a bout of insomnia.

My ex worked late nights at restaurants and rarely got home before 3-4 am.

Honestly I sleep better alone anyway. Who cares?

We sleep in different rooms, so, nothing. Just go back to sleep.

I would assume I was snoring again and he took refuge on the couch in the living room. I’d leave him alone.

He’s only up if he’s ill (cancer treatments) so I would definitely look for him.

I get up to pee, but if I’m gone more than a minute or two, it means I had a nightmare that then turned into a flashback so he’ll come look for me.

Neither of us would think the other is doing anything nefarious.

I check on him, but sometimes he just can’t sleep and is watching TV in the basement.

For almost three months during staying in place a GF of mine stayed with us so if my husband wasn’t in bed I might have wondered. But he always seemed to be next to me but I’m a sound sleeper so now you have me wondering!

I would be unlikely to check on him unless there was a major concern. Probably just can't sleep.
