I know. I'm letting down the team by not being "sunny" and "positive."

On weekdays, gymnastic camp, science experiments with the baby sitter, swim lessons.

So you have gymnastics open, pools open, playgrounds open, bars open — are you in florida?

Just seeing what fun things everyone found to do with their kids.
We have been busy swimming in the lake, camping in the yard, going to the drive in and just wrapped up two nights at a hotel with a pool.
What are you doing to help your kids have a great summer?
OP, did you never spend time with your kids before? Did you ship them off to camp every summer? You are posting very mundane things, that may or may not violate local stay at home orders, and acting like you have discovered fire.
We're having a low key summer and the kids understand why. They don't need a circus of entertainment to feel grateful for our lives. We hike, play tennis, play board games, try out hobbies and new restaurants. Hose and water fights in the yard. The kids sleep late, stay up late, and socialize with friends online. Older DS did a book drive in our neighborhood for a local organization that gives out free books. Next, he's going to learn to repair and paint a wall I haven't had time to deal with. Younger DS has special needs and has started homeschooling early. Both kids are doing more chores around the house. I've cleaned out the mudroom and the guestroom. Everyone would prefer a fabulous vacation, but everyone is taking it in stride.
This. Clearly she feels the need to be fawned over by strangers, either directly (by hearing how wonderful of a mother she is) or indirectly (by reading posts which she deems not as exciting as her own).
FWIW, the above poster is correct. Her post is largely filled with mundane things, except maybe going to a hotel. The cost of the hotel was probably more than 1/3 of our entire summer pool dues and our family could go daily if we wanted.

Ugh I just want this whole thing to be over.
