My 7.5 year old is tall I thought at 4'4" but I still have him in a high back booster.

My tall 7 year old still fits well in her high back booster. She can use a backless but prefers the high back. She would not fit well in either of our cars without a booster.

I am 5’0” and to be honest, the seat belts don’t sit right on me in some cars.....it’s part of my purchasing decision. My DCs are much taller and out of boosters by age 10.

My 10 and 12 year olds are tall enough, but they weigh 72lbs and the seat belt doesn't sit right. Reading that 6 year olds ride without a booster is making me feel ridiculous having my kids in them, even though the belts cut across their stomachs and necks without them.

PP you're quoting. Don't feel ridiculous- if the belts don't sit right on them, it's unsafe. I periodically checked the belt fit on my kids and if it didn't fit, they remained in a booster. We didn't often drive with other kids, so really no one knew they were still in boosters and the ones who did, didn't say anything. I would've kept my kids in boosters had the seat belts not fit them right, and I don't care what other people would think!

A lot of you have husky kids. My kid is a string bean who needs a booster seat at 11 yo.
