Jessica handled all of this so poorly - how could she think trying to get this blogger’s sponsors to drop her wouldn’t bite her in the butt? I don’t know if this reflects white privilege as much as bad judgment and assholery.

Essentially the blogger was posting anonymous criticism of famous influencers in Canada who weren’t speaking out about BLM. Jessica privately DM’ed her and said she didn’t like being talked about. Blogger said IDK what you mean - I never said your name. Jessica bitches back. Blogger kept talking in her Instagram Live. Jessica decided to go behind the bloggers back and get affiliated companies to drop her. Blogger found out and publicly called her out. Jessica backtracked, tried to get friends to speak up then publicly apologized. Hours later at 2AM she threatened the blogger with a lawsuit. Jessica then loses all her company sponsorships and her contract with Good Morning America.

Meghan allegedly targeted making Jessica her friend when she moved to Toronto to film Suits. Jessica and her husband, Ben Mulroney, were/are the top of the social circuit in Toronto. Celebrity chef Corey (who Meghan was living with when she met Harry) and gossip blogger Lainey Liu (of LaineyGossip) were in this circle.

However, Meghan instead cozied up to Gail King through Oprah and gave Gail/CBS all of the exclusive access to her and Harry.

I never believed Jessica watched Archie. Meghan and Jessica are BFFs. Both mean-girls.

She did however watch little Archie, with Nanny, for months on end while Meghan and Harry were in the UK.

If they’re BFFs, don’t you think J talked about this with M? And don’t you think M gave her advice on how to handle it? I bet she did. And if she drops her now, that’s just terrible.

And, can someone explain the racist part? If it’s just not speaking out publicly about BLM, that’s not racist. Ask Chappelle. He said it’s fine to let the celebrities off the hook to allow the real people to talk. And if it’s just because the blogger is black, that’s not inherently racist either. What did J say that was racist? (I haven’t been following/reading transcripts).
