For a woman who’s based her entire brand on telling it like it is, it looks like Rachel’s only been telling you what she thinks you need to hear. But this recent revelation suggests that the slightly sloppy yet miraculously put together Hollis hasn’t been as honest or vulnerable as she’s claimed.

After all, wouldn’t her fans have had some sort of inkling that the power couple was deeply struggling?

This whole story reeks of curated authenticity and it’s reminiscent of that other mommy blogger, Myka Stauffer, who recently gave away her adopted son. Granted, husbands are much easier (and far less controversial) to leave than a child. But much like Hollis, Myka has made a name for herself for supposedly being vulnerable and authentic.

So, when they reveal something so significant in their lives that shocks virtually their entire fan base, something about that tastes pretty damn fishy. Like the discovery that maybe these women aren’t so real after all.

Don't even get me started on the adoption. She openly admitted that she adopted so she could be guaranteed a daughter. Bet her sons feel really loved knowing that her life wasn't complete until she got her trophy daughter.

I don't know anything about this woman or her blog. But let's try to have some compassion. People live in denial and/or cling to the hope things will get better. That's not intentional fraud - it's a human response to fear of losing someone you love. Anyone who has actually been married for more than 5 minutes and has an ounce of introspection gets this.

But she didn't just live in denial. She had a podcast where she talked about how amazing their marriage was. She is such a fake.

Who in their right mind sells books regarding marriage advice, conference tickets to relationship conferences, and does a relationship podcast if you’ve been considering divorce for years?!?
I guess you can fake a smile for a long time if money is involved.

Of course you can. Plenty of people do it all the time because they can't afford 2 households and think they can tough it out.

Same. I thought Girl, Stop Apologizing would be an enjoyable light read, but I really couldn't stand reading it. It was like she thought she came up with the concept of being a working mom.

She made possibly millions selling a perfect marriage and life. I am confused...which came first...Glennon's "Together Rising" or this one's "Rise together." They both also preach and give mental health advice from their asses with no psychology degree and they hop around on stage and toss around their beauty parlor hair. My bet is he comes out as gay and she comes out as a lesbian or bisexual. She will follow the Glennon model and write a book. She will join Glennon on stage one day and say Glennon's book Untamed made her realize she needed to break free of her marriage. She will find some famous woman to date to ensure she keeps her fame.

I somehow watched her talk on Amazon prime. Cheesy and unoriginal, with a tinge of fake, but you know what? I was feeling in a slump and it got me jazzed up to tackle something I had been putting off. It was the kick in the butt I needed to stop making excuses and jump out of my comfort zone.

I don't follow Instagram or her writing, but her talk helped me. I'm sorry of she's going through a rough time.
