Subject: We just purchased a house with a 90s look and feel in the Master Bath. We can’t afford to renovate.
Ours has come in handy this summer since the pool has closed.
Our children put on their swimsuits and splash around in it with some toys and pretend it’s a pool.
It’s the most we’ve ever used it.

I have one too, and it is stupid.
Honestly though, no one goes in the master bathroom except you. Just ignore the tub. Focus your decorating efforts on the powder room.

We have one of those large tubs from the late 90's. Ours doesn't have jets. It's surrounded by what seems like miles of tile and of course, the shower is small. I'd like to rip it out and use some of the space for linen storage and a bigger shower.
It's a pain to clean because of the size.

Before this we had the same or similar beige tile as you. Someday though I will have the free standing soaking tub of my dreams!

My parents had one of these growing up. We'd use it as a "swimming pool" when we were younger. I'm definitely jealous of their old tub now that I'm at home with three little kids and no pool - would love to just run some water and let them play!

I dont think there is a quick fix here. Id "decorate" around it. Place a nice orchid in corner. Fold a white towel over the side. And look forward to the real renovation when you can afford it.

Actually, I miss.our 90s corner garden tub, that didn't have jets. I'm 5'11" and could actually fit in it to take a bath.
Look into chalk paint and stenciling OP. It's become trendy right now, Cutting Edge Stencils has some diy, but it might be too much.
I would probably paint the walls a different color and add some plants around the tub. That plus the updates you are doing sound good.

OP here. You are exactly right. I used the wrong word. Triangular ugly jetted tub. Btw pp, my hubby can’t even hang a picture straight. No diy for us. Just trying to decorate around it. I can and will paint and change all hardware.
I kinda wish I had one. Sounds nice for cooling off after working outside or warming up in the winter. My 1940s house (updated in 1990s) just has a regular tub and shower combo.
