These kids need that. Especially these days. Don’t kid yourself. Sheltering your children from accountability and discipline does them no favors.

LOL. That's Jaon. 8-9 year old soccer is not about developing a love of the game. It's about developing respect (fear) of your coach ...

Yes they are getting soft. U9 and U10 is an important time to make these youth ladies understand this is not a game. It’s travel soccer! High stakes indeed.

I watched him at a ASA ASIST tournament coaching the 03 girls years ago loose his mind in a loss and throw his clipboard and kick a kids water jug in an absolute child’s temper tantrum. He sent his 06 to ASA while being a McLean coach - which tells you something. I can tell you if you want your kid developed - do not play for this man. I say this as not an MYS parent but one in CCL through the years that has watched him on many many occasions.

Lol. Jealous.

Jealous of what? He was fired bud. Mclean can fire him again. They got rid of Yuri. Yuri was actually better.

I heard Yuri was really good. Why did they get rid of him.

Maybe he yells a lot because he’s not good enough at explaining himself simply? Sometimes ex-players shouldn’t become coaches lol

+1 We watched him yell at a player on our team, then the referee, and then the opposing coach … I was told them had even been friends. This was an 06 game. Temper Tantrums galore.

Someone needs to send some cell video of his next episode and drop it on CW's desk. Parents be warned.

I guess we’re an outlier family, but we love the work ethic he instilled in our daughter - and more importantly, her love of soccer. He is passionate about the game and if you are too, it will be a great fit. If your daughter is playing just to hang with her friends, I don’t think it will be a good match.

Totally agree, we he's had a very positive influence on my daughter.

Our DD went through his Green team and she didn't enjoy it. She worked hard, was on time, never got ball kicked, etc., but many practices felt like an episode of Scared Straight. She avoided his bad side luckily! YMMV.
