Your arm must be exhausted from patting yourself on the back. You found an excuse to not visit your parents and grandparents. Yay, you! I'll bet they feel so loved.....
Yep. The excuse was I don't want them to die.

Is staying home and social distancing over? I am really surprised so many people felt this was the time to “cheat” and see family. Guessing people are just over it but it doesn’t seem like the risks of getting parents or older family risks are any lower now. Wonder if there will be a spike in cases 2-3 weeks from now.
Not over it. After we dropped off her groceries, my mom stood on her steps and we waved from the car. I don’t know anyone who ate a meal with non-household members.

One had grandma stop by and visit for the evening/dinner. They live in NJ.
Another couple is late 50s/early 60s with 2 sons aged 23-25. One son lives in NYC and one in DC. When things started getting bad, the NYC son left NYC and moved back home with the parents in suburban Philadelphia; DC son stayed here. Today DC son was home for mothers day also. I am assuming he is now moving there for the medium/long haul -- not just making a 1 day visit. Dad is a cardiologist at UPenn so I'd expect/hope they wouldn't take unnecessary risks.
