This is very untrue. It is 50% of salary and the unicorn $600 per week that no teacher we know has gotten. You must a be director that fires or furloughed your teachers and are trying to get parent approval. Only those schools that keep paying their teachers are ensuring their teachers are not in financial distress. Sorry but true.
Why wouldn’t they get the $600, unless they were paid under the table, which wouldn’t be the case for any reputable place?
This is true. The government is not consistently paying this out. Just like the state is not paying child care centers for the EPCC designation. It seems to be word play.
I'm definitely not a director and why would I make that up? I was just trying to contribute my story to a discussion as I find it helpful to hear what others are paying/not paying.
One of the teacher's at the preschool is a friend of mine. They are making more then what they were making because they are getting the 600 (at least my teacher friend is, I can't vouch for the others). Preschool teachers unfortunately don't make a lot of money. I keep telling my friend to work for the public schools.
