Maybe it's just one poster over and over again, but I swear the number of times I have heard a SAHM say her husband does the morning or whatever so she can sleep in really perpetuates the stereotype of SAHMs being lazy.

Not PP and not even sure if I’ve mentioned it on DCUM but my dh does this for me anywhere from once to 3x a week because I do 100% of night wake ups and can count on two hands the nights of full and uninterrupted sleep I’ve had in 4 years. So yeah, if he’s working from home (which was occasional before COVID-19 and constant now) and I can barely function he sticks the kids in front of the tv with some Cheerios while he works in the kitchen and I get another hour of sleep so I can push through the day. I can’t speak for everyone else but my assumption is that in the majority of cases it’s because SAHM didn’t sleep at night—not because she’s lazy.

Our kids aren’t in school yet so homeschooling isn’t an added burden but not being able to go anywhere or see anyone has still put stress on our day to day (or rather day after day after day...) life. So DH is stepping in more during the day to hold a cranky baby, supervise a toddler meal, sometimes make breakfast while he uses the kitchen island as a standing desk etc. General division of chores is the same. Although in the beginning of the quarantine he was doing all grocery/store trips to minimize my exposure since the kids are all over me all day but that got tiresome for both of us so now we trade off on errands.
